Every artist draws inspiration from somewhere. It could be the sun setting over the Brooklyn Bridge, or the inebriated wino in Central Park sleeping in his own vomit. Doesn’t matter. Inspiration is taken from something the artist sees, hears or feels. Artist Bryan Lewis Saunders forced inspiration by purposely placing himself under the influence of various drugs for the sake of art. We’re not talking a little pot or a couple Xanax. Dude was doing some hardcore stuff (meth, bath salts, cocaine). Some of it I’ve never even heard of (Zyprexa,Trazadone, Seroquel). Despite the fact that Saunders became lethargic and suffered mild brain damage, he snorted, smoked, ingested and huffed his way to some pretty awesome art.
