Cases come a dime a dozen these days, and most of them don’t protect your investment. We’ve seen cases with 3D art, multicolored gems, and animal prints. The covers that actually do what they’re designed to do are usually bulky and hideous. Chicago-based design studio minimal has constructed an iPhone case that is both fashionable and functional.
Details after the break.
The ‘taktik’ iPhone case is a sleek looking, protective case with all the necessities most competing cases lack. The inside of the case begins with a 9mm Impact Truss silicon lining that covers the entire perimeter of the phone itself. This lining gives the taktik its shockproof ability. Your phone and the silicon lining are then enclosed between two aluminum plates with screws. There is no snap function. There is an optional gorilla glass liner that goes between your phone’s screen and the frontal aluminum plate. Double the screen protection.
With the taktik by Lunatik your phone is fully enclosed and protected, however all of your buttons are still accessible without removing the case. The company even included a a rapid access silencing button. No more taking off your case to charge your phone, or flip the silencing switch from grey to orange during class or meetings.
The project is now completely funded through donations. You can purchase the taktik and its accessories directly from their kickstarter page.
