NYFW SS11 : Mara Hoffman
For her Spring/Summer 2011 presentation, which took place on September 9th, designer Mara Hoffman took a more casual approach, showing at Pier 59 Studios with models posed next to palm trees. The presentation featured live South American music and a Mojito bar, lending to a relaxed, island vibe. Inspired in part by her own personal style of dressing, Hoffman introduced what she called a “military gone native” theme. The collection featured vibrant prints with mystical and ethnic influences, in keeping with Hoffman’s signature aesthetic. Loose summer knits were styled with cool, casual and very wearable pieces that will become great summer staples. I spy some Osborn shoes to boot!
