The world lost one of it’s most influential artists when Louise Bourgeouis passed away Monday. Her work was always intensely confessional, and yet because of her continuing themes of the human body, sexuality, protection and vunerablity she always had the ability to speak viewers across the board. She used a variety of media- often turing traditionally unattractive or subverses substances into objects of art. Her presence in the male-dominated art world as a strong and individual talent left an important legacy all women artists should commend.
