Just One Purse From Ecuador? Gimme More.
BleachBlack just hipped up to these Shigra bags from Ecuador, the folk art sight that sells them says: “Shigras are made with “Cabuya” a fiber from the Agave plants…Artisans say that they “do not know” how long it takes to make these unique pieces of Folk Art, as women take their work around and hand weave only a little bit at a time. One Shigra may take months to be completed.” Take all year! We love them because the vintage ones we usually see at thrift stores are pretty beat up and we know they could totally complete our summer looks.
