This Rihanna cover’s copy make us cringe a bit. The Pop Princess Proves Looking Hot Is the Best Revenge fills us with pity that we are part of the the vast, vapid machine that makes up Fashion. The best revenge is living well! Or revenge is is dish best served cold! Maybe it’s actually hiring some nefarious thug to beat down the beater? But at least this issue marks the first time that tattoos are visible on W Magazine cover, and the first time a Black woman has graced the cover of this glossy rag since Naomi Cambell did in June 2007. Not to mention that before that there has just been only a few others – Janet Jackson for October 2006 and Iman (among other models) on August 2002.
