RIP: Zinn and Salinger

RIP to JD Salinger (shown above) and Howard Zinn. Hugely sad day. Zinn helped us be the most smart-ass back talking high schoolers ever. He was one the West’s most important intellectuals and Civil Liberties Activits.
JD Salinger is one of our favorite authors of all time. If you’ve ever felt disassociated, bored and loved the entire Glass Family (or smoked copius amounts of cigarettes in a bathtub/dropped out of college) then you feel me. Without Salinger there’d basically never have been films such as the Ice Storm, Igby Goes Down or the Royal Tennenbaums. More after the jump.
