Adam Kimmel Plus George Condo
For his Fall ’10 Paris presentation Menswear designer, Adam Kimmel was inspired by, and worked with NYC painter George Condo to create some showstopping masks to be worn with his collection entitled Casino. Kimmel had always been a fan of Condo’s work and when they became friends Kimmel discovered Condo is a huge gambler who summers in Monte Carlo. Together they worked with special effects designer Gabe Bartalos to create clown masks based off of Condo’s paintings. The line itself featured velvet suits, slippers and prints based off of roulette, craps and baccarats…. the best part, the show was a esentially a casino installation at a the Yvon Lambert Gallery.
