Go To The Gagosian

For years Ed Ruscha has documented the archetypal Americana captured through roadside photography, landmarks and Hollywood logos. After creating a series of cheaply printed photography books as both a homage and an aestheic parellel to Beat Generation writing, he has put his focus on creating an Artist Book of Kerouac’s On The Road. Ruscha brings the text to life with his, and commissioned photographs. A (rerun) exhibit of the work will be up at the Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue until the 23rd of January. Worth Checking Out.

FYI: the Gagosian in LA is showing new Jeff Koons paintings… and in Rome they have the Alexander Calder scluptures…. so you’re even luckier if you’re in those places.
