Offensive Airplane Reading

Easyjet Magazine, an in-flight publication, has recently rescinded an issue which features a fashion shoot at The Field of Stelae, Berlin’s Holocaust memorial. Apparently it was intended to promote tourism to both the memorial and Jewish museum during the anniversary fall of the Berlin Wall. It just ended up being totally offensive and tasteless. Learn more after the jump.
Britain’s New Statemen first reported on the photoshoot and published Easyjet’s public apology. Though Easyjet’s custom publisher, Ink was granted permission to shoot at the Museum- they were not however, allowed to shoot at the Memorial itself. Easyjet can be found in around 150 of inter-European airplanes.

Yikes, I don’t even understand how this shoots director thought that this was a good idea for a fashion spread. This is completely disgusting, who ever decided and approved this location for a fashion shoot should be fired.
