Wendy O. Williams is one of the imitated artists of our time – just look at her modern reincarnations: Lady Gaga and Rhianna and past ones such as Madonna and Dale Bozio. Fronting the shock rock band The Plasmatics, she was often arrested for near nakedness, simulating sex (so was Bobby Brown!) and lewdness. We like to call it raw sexuality with anarchistic overtones – go girl! Unfortunately she committed suicide in 1998 and didn’t bear witness to her legacy…..
