What we’re into: Swatch Watches
So our last post on the Jelly Toy Watches with interchangable faces totally reminded me of Pop Swatches, which totally reminded me to tell everyone how cool I think Swatch Orignals from the late 80′s and early ’90′s are AND how I like to stalk vintage ones on the internet and steal them from my older sister’s stockpiles. At height of their popularity these plastic watches were affordably priced, cheeky, trendy and widely available. The Pop Swatches came a little later and were amazing because the mix and match faces could pop off and be clipped on fabric. They became a pop-culture phenom, even referenced in one of the greatest movies of all time, Heathers. These days, vintage Swatches look super fresh. After the jump are pictures of some extra special ones.
