Fashion Flashback: Courtney Love (and Kim Gordon)
So this morning we were listening to Hole, all like… screw this fashion blog, let’s move to Olympia and write a ‘zine….. read more after the jump…..
Lucky for you, we were like, we can’t write a ‘zine, we don’t have a photocopy machine – only a plain paper fax! Let’s just throw on a baby doll dress and some Doc boots and think about how rad it was when tons of chicks started garage bands and were way into grunge and punk and empowerment. But then we were like even though bleached hair with dark roots is cool, showing off your midriff is weird so we’re glad it’s not the 90’s. Anyway, you know who used to look really cool? Courtney Love.
And you know who used to look even cooler? And still looks cool- because she didn’t go crazy? Courtney’s main style inspiration- Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon who tooled Love’s look and sound when she debuted with Hole. Her pics are below
