Weekend Recommendations – Earthly Delights
The weekend is either supposed to be really nice or really rainy, depending which report your reading. We have a few suggestions for your 2 days of rest and with spring weather coming, we are all about going outside and see all the wonderful things that Mother Nature has created.
The Bronx Botanical Garden is currently holding their Orchid show, which is truly mindblowing, held both indoors and out. The gardens there are a beautiful and an inspiring way to while away the day….. While you are “Uptown” we also suggest checking out the Bronx Zoo, which is open 365 days a year. It is close to the Botantical (and Manhattan), you have no excuse for not going and seeing the monkeys!
If it is the impending deluge:
Perhaps check out the Climate Change exhibit at the Musuem of Natural History (above pic is from the exhibit) We saw this just last week and highly reccomend it. The show will really have you thinking about the impact we as human consumers have on the Earth (with global warming and pollution), and worth a jaunt after a late brunch. Later in the evening maybe cruise by Josh Blackwell’s “Casual Dress Pants” at the Rachel Uffner Gallery……
