Fashion Flashback: The Nanny

Being a jew broad from Queens, I have a lot in common with Fran Drescher. In fact in 1996 I was living in LA (why?) and yelling at my then boyfriend in a cafe when I heard this person walking towards me saying “Oh my gawd! I haven’t heard that accent in years!! You sound just like me! Are you from New Yawk?” Low and behold it was Fran in the flesh – fresh faced and gorgeous… But I was thinking “Do I really sound like Fran Drescher – yikes!”
I have not thought about this dynamo in years but with all the 1980′s-90′s stylings showing up on the runways around the globe, lets face it, this lady (or her stylist) knew what was up – animal prints, power suits and bold, bright colors. More pics after the jump……

I just want to say that I love “The Nanny”! I never watched it when it first came out but now I don’t miss it! I watch it on Nick at Night. I am a 50 year old female (but I look 35!)and I’d like to know if “Mr. Sheffield is doing anything on television. It would be great to see him again too. This show makes me laugh so much! Every single character on this show is so funny and..oh.. I just can’t say enough! I’d like to know if Fran is doing anything else in television, and the other actors as well. They are all so good! Can I buy “The Nanny” sitcoms on DVD? Oh well, please tell Fran that I love her show, I admire how she showcased each actor showing her confidence and respect for her fellow cast members. Really, she is an amazing person and I would like to see her return to television as soon as possible. Thanks, God Bless you Fran!!
