Lauren Conrad Collection Heads for the Hills
One of the up-sides of this recession might be the ‘weeding’ out of celebrity clothing lines that have been filling up shelf space in many stores from Wal-mart to Saks. Many of these lines are being shut down and the Lauren Conrad Collection is one of them. The Hills star’s line was launched in the fall of 2007 and hasn’t been selling since its release. Showrooms that carry this brand got a message from her camp saying, “In light of the economic climate, Lauren has decided to completely rethink her line.” As a result, the spring and summer delivery has been cancelled, and the website is offering up to 70% off the remaining styles. We are sure this line wont be missed by anyone, except maybe Viacom (Mtv, Vh1, Nickelodeon and Bet) – as this was their first foray into clothing, owning a huge percentage of the brand.
