Sex, Lies and Photoshop – France says Non!

The New York Times has posted an interesting video reporting that in France, public health officials and psychiatrists have started to meet to implement laws for fashion magazines and websites, in regards to retouching (aka photoshopping, airbrushing). They feel that the glossies are promoting negative body image and eating disorders by heavily altering the (true) images so greatly. We as humans relate to photos as the truth but this artful skill is one big lie to our eye. What will the fashion industry do if they can’t cover up enlarged pores, blood vessels, body hair, cellulite and double chins??
