Gareth Pugh tones it down, Way down.
This collection was very different from Gareth Pughs usual design aesthetic. His usual architectural elements and sculptural pieces were absent and instead replaced by a more subdued version of himself. He seems to slowly be creating more ready-to-wear friendly collection that will merchandise nicely with the other designers at Saks, Barneys and Harvey Nichols. Maybe this change in design was brought about by LVMHs interested in purchasing this young designers company? They did sponsor the Pugh fashion show, so maybe an acquisition is in the future.
