Is your Mall going to go bankrupt??
Submitted by claudia on November 12, 20082 Comments
General Growth Properties Inc., the No. 2 mall operator in the United States, has warned that an ongoing slump in retail sales, combined with the credit market lockdown, has pushed the company to the brink of bankruptcy. The company operates more than 200 malls — including the Paramus Park Mall in New Jersey, Cumberland Mall in Atlanta, Water Tower Place in Chicago and the Glendale Galleria in California — in 44 states. This is very scary! There doesn’t ever seem to be any good news from our economy, let hope this all changes in January when the administration changes.

I was a General Growth employee and the company treats us good. I hope they can come out of this ..
i work at Cumberland mall in one of the restaurants for right over two years, and business is horrible now. I can’t see how it can get any worse. If the mall closes, I don’t know what I am going to do.
