Nike has just created the Reuse-A-Shoe program, in which they take your old sneakers and recycle them to make new products, like a basket ball court, running track or even new sneakers! It is part of the company’s efforts to reinvent products that have reached the end of their intended use and to close the loop of its manufacturing process.

Each individual can donate up to 10 pairs of shoes at a time – and they don’t have to be Nike’s – so ask your friends and family to hand over their old sneaks and donate them all at once. Or start a group shoe drive at your school or office. A shipping label can be downloaded to have your old kicks shipped directly to Nike. This is an amazing program for Nike to have started! I’m already packing up my old sneakers!
