Organic fashion gets fashionable
Eko-Lab and Ekovaruhuset premiere organic and Fair Made sustainable fashion exhibit during the spring 2009 NY fashion week, starting Tuesday September 9. Each piece to be featured in the Fashion Week exhibition has been conceived and produced following strict, sustainability guidelines, specifically that of using certified organic fabrics and materials, many of which are uniquely treated with non-toxic, vegetable dyes and/or low-impact production methods. The gorgeous designs on view will be eco-luxurious in every detail and aspect of wearability while also incorporating ‘haute couture’ as a vital, fashion-forward inspiration.
In the spirit of true sustainability, the majority of the designs displayed will also be available to the public immediately following the exhibition at the Ekovaruhuset’s NYC boutique.
