2nd annual St. Marks Block Party is this Saturday 7/31,  starting at noon and running til 8pm. Food, live music, booze, and even a meat pie eating contest! St. Marks Place between 1st Ave and A. And, in case you are staying  uptown, there is an interesting show at the Museum of the City of New York called Cars, Culture and The City which illustrates how NYC helped propel the car into mainstream use in the mid-20th century. Today’s NY Post cover reports that a NYC Judge has ruled on a case about a man who’d received a summons for wearing baggy pants. The verdict is in – he an wear ‘em as low as they want to go! “While most of us may consider it distasteful, and indeed foolish, to wear one’s pants so low as to expose the underwear . . . people can dress as they please, wear anything, so long as they do not offend public order and decency.” And remember NY State Senator Eric Adams who started that ad campaign to Stop The Sag?
